REAL PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

Our club team program was founded in 2023 with one clear mission: player development at all levels. Led by Austin Popovich, a former Division I USILA Scholar All-American at Robert Morris University and U.S. Box National Team player, iQ Lacrosse is built for athletes who want to be coached and challenged to reach their full potential.

As a proud PLL Verified Organization, with a coaching staff composed of former players and coaches who have experience across the Division I, Division II, Division III, and professional levels, we understand what it takes to compete at the highest level. Our coaching philosophy is designed to develop stronger players who can read the field, make quick decisions under pressure, and execute with confidence.

Every practice is planned with intention, every rep has purpose, and every player is held to a standard that helps them grow. We don’t roll a ball out and let players scrimmage all practice. We don’t run practices built around standing in lines and taking empty reps. We coach, correct, and challenge our players every time they step on the field.

The name iQ Lacrosse represents our commitment to the mental side of the game. Great players do more than run fast and shoot hard. They understand communication, spacing, timing, decision-making, and the “why” behind every movement. The lowercase “i” in iQ represents humility and selflessness, two core values every player is held accountable to.

No egos, no shortcuts. Just hard work, discipline, and a team-first mindset.

WINTER   BOX TEAMS & SKILLS TRAINING

Our winter lacrosse programming is designed to give players additional development pathways during the offseason Specific opportunities may vary by age and team. 🥍 Winter Skills Training Clinics: 2029 - 2035 Winter skills training clinics are focused on continued player development outside of the regular field team season. These sessions give athletes additional opportunities to sharpen their skills, receive focused coaching, and keep improving during the offseason. iQ Lacrosse field team athletes receive discounted registration for all optional training clinics throughout the year. Our goal is to make ongoing development opportunities as accessible as possible for every player in our program. 🏆 Box Lacrosse Tournament Teams: 2029 - 2032 20 practice hours + 2 tournaments Led by Austin Popovich, former U.S. Box Lacrosse National Team player, our box lacrosse tournament teams give 2029-2032 field team players the opportunity to continue competing and developing throughout the winter in a fast-paced environment. Box lacrosse is one of the best ways for players to improve stick skills, decision-making, toughness, creativity, off-ball movement, and confidence in tight spaces. For the Winter 2026/27 season, we plan to field JV 2029/30 and Middle School 2031/32 box tournament teams. Box teams will include combined graduation years, as most competitive box tournament divisions are structured this way. Following tryouts and field team selections, eligible players may choose to participate in the winter box lacrosse season for an additional fee. Box teams will have 5-6 weeks of practice, attend two box tournaments, and receive custom iQ Lacrosse Box Team uniforms. Goalies will be provided with the required equipment. 📋 Winter Box Season Fee: TBA

RECRUITING SUPPORT   NEXT LEVEL PROGRAM

As our program continues to grow, the 2026/27 season marks the first season in which iQ Lacrosse will have athletes old enough to enter the collegiate recruiting process. Our staff brings a wealth of recruiting experience from both sides of the process, with former players and coaches who have experience across the Division I, Division II, Division III, and professional levels. This year, our high school teams will begin the Next Level Program, a comprehensive recruitment initiative designed to provide hands-on guidance for athletes and families throughout the recruiting journey. The recruiting process can feel overwhelming, especially for families going through it for the first time. Through the Next Level Program, our goal is to provide clear guidance, honest feedback, and meaningful support as players continue their lacrosse journey. Support will include recruiting education, player and family guidance, recruiting strategy meetings, collegiate-level strength and conditioning plans, and more. We know what it takes to compete at the next level, and we couldn’t be more excited to help our athletes work toward that goal.

THE FIRST STEP   TRYOUT & SELECTION PROCESS

Athletes must earn their spot each season. After the summer season concludes, all roster spots open for the following club year, and all current and interested players must try out. Tryouts allow our coaching staff to evaluate players fairly, build competitive teams, and continue raising the standard of the program. We are looking for athletes who are committed to improving, eager to compete, coachable, and ready to be part of a team-first culture. Talent matters, but effort, attitude, and coachability matter just as much. iQ Lacrosse is for players who want to be coached and challenged to reach their potential. Our standard is simple: No egos, no shortcuts. Just hard work, discipline, and a team-first mindset. Ready to put in the work? Click below to register for tryouts today.
